This policy allows users to initiate firmware updates for the local machine rather than peripherals. Setting the policy to Enabled allows users such as device owner to initiate firmware updates. Setting the policy to Disabled or leaving it unset prevents all users from applying firmware updates. This policy applies to firmware for internal component firmware updates for Google ChromeOS devices are not affected by this policy.
