Enable the ExtensionManifestV2Availability admin setting to continue using your current extensions

IT administrators likely want to extend support for extensions based on Manifest V2. Schools may use filtering extensions that rely on Manifest V2 APIs, which would become inoperable when Chrome 127 rolls out in August 2024.

The good news is this is an easy fix. Set the ExtensionManifestV2Availability setting to enabled. You can do this quickly using Instinctive Professional, or find it in the Google Admin Console under Devices > Chrome > Settings > Users & browsers. This will extend support until June 2025 and give extension providers more time to update their extensions.
