There's not much new in version 124; just check your search provider

The latest Chrome release notes include 55 updates, but there's only 1 worth your time to dig into.

You should set a default search provider so your users aren't prompted to select one. This only affects certain markets, but your users may see a popup once they log into their Chromebooks to select a search provider. Configuring the admin settings for DefaultSearchProviderEnabled and DefaultSearchProviderSearchUrl, will prevent this from popping up.
