School administrators may want to disable multiple virtual desktops to prevent students from quickly switching between them to bypass monitoring software. Unfortunately there's no policy to disable this in the Google Admin Console.

The good news is that popular monitoring extensions like GoGuardian and Securly can still see the content of the screen and websites visited, regardless of which "desk" students use.

Still want to see this feature added? We'd recommend contacting Google Support through the Admin Console.
